GREY LYNN SEAT
New Ruling By Labour
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 17. Mr R. MacDonald, M.P. for Ponsonby, will now be able to seek nomination as the candidate for the re-drawn Grey Lynn electorate at the General Election as the result of a new ruling from the national executive of the Labour Party. Nominations for both the re-drawn seat and the byelection for the existing Grey Lynn electorate, caused by the death of the Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Mr Hackett). close on Friday. The selection of the candidates is expected to take place in Auckland on Anzac Day. Other nominations for Grey Lynn for both the General Election and the by-election include Dr. A. M. Finlay, an Auckland lawyer and national president of the party, and Mr A. J. Dreaver. a member of the Auckland City Council.
