WELLINGTON, April 14.
A meeting of ban-the-bomb marchers today resolved to form a direct-action group on the lines of Britain's Committee of 100. About 50 eaid they would join in ait-down demonstrations. The marchers set out from Pareparaumu on Friday on a four-day march to Wellington About 200 men and women, most of whom are members of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, joined the march.
In Johnsonville tonight, the marchers could not be found. Local police, traffic officers, taxi companies, and shopkeepers could not give their whereabouts.
The problem was solved after two hours' searching, A few had been billeted privately, while the majority hed returned by oar to Porirua Pa, from where they started this morning. Earlier in the day the Mayor of Porirua (Mr W. J. Brown) congratulated them on their courage in undertaking the four-day march. On the last stage of the march tomorrow, the group will walk to Parliament grounds, Wellington, where they will be addressed by the president of the Methodist Conference, the Rev. J. B. Thornley.
