Bluebird Goes By Rail
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ADELAIDE. April 9. Donald Campbell's Bluebird will leave Adelaide on Thursday for Lake Eyre, in the far north of South Australia, where the British driver plans to make an attempt on the world land speed record. The dry salt lake, situated tn what is normally one of the driest parts of Australia, has had some heavy rain recently. Lighter rain fell on Saturday and Sunday, but work is going ahead on grading the course on the lake bed. Bluebird will be loaded on to a train for Marree. about 100 miles from the lake.
