University Defeated Otago University won a triangular athletics match against Canterbury University and a South Canterbury representative team at Victoria Park, Waimate, on Saturday. Competition was keen with many close finishes. The men’s 3-mile produced an excellent run by B. Jones (Canterbury) who early cleared out from the field and lapped most of the other runners by the bell lap. Final points were: Otago 47, representative team 43. Canterbury 32.
