FLIGHT TO SYDNEY
6000gns Colt On Board (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 28. The yearling colt which brought the record price of flOOOgns at the Trentham sales in January is among six horses to be flown from Whenuapai to Sydney tomorrow. The others are the pacers Gentry. Setbabu. Auto Tryax and Kaiwheria, and a thoroughbred yearling colt by Empire Way from Ringway. The record-priced colt was bought by Mr M. Grogan, of Matamata, for Mr E. Norton, of Sydney. The Empire Way colt, which cost 2300gns. will also be raced by Mr Norton. Gentry and Sebabu are to contest major events at the Easter meeting at Harold Park. Gentry’s main mission is the £5OOO Lord Mayor’s Cup, in which one of his opponents will be Cardigan Bay.
