Persian Star Has Form For Today

AUCKLAND, March 38. Persian Star and Dashing Star appear to dominate the Motonea Handicap at Whengarei tomorrow. Since acceptances ware taken last Friday each has been a very popular fancy. The next two moat in favour seem to ba Blue Heather and Smart Move. Only a change to wst weather and a very soft track are likely to keep Persian Star from a bold glowing. When the footing becomes wet he is not iHtriy *• good. ling Star, on the other hand, manages soft going well, and her tarn during the last month or so baa indicated that she Is tn no way put out by very firm tracks. At her last start she won nicely over a middle-distance at New Plymouth. and that followed two good thirds. The Mclnnes Handicap will be the first leg of the TA3. double run over a mile and a quarter for £836. For the second leg, the Maungatapere Handicap. Brown Hair is a hot favourite. in a field of six she is the only candidate with recent form of any account. Light rain la forecast, but the going should be good.
