Pacer To Go To Epsom “Th* Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, March 28. Roseland Ring will not fulfil his engagements in the Stewards’ and Au Revoir Handicaps at the Winton Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday. The four-year-old Whipster gelding has been sold by his owner. Mrs D. C. Cox, of Winton, to an Auckland owner. He will join P. Wolfenden’s Epsom team. Wolfenden has built up a big team of Southland-bred horses, which includes the champion Cardigan Bay and also his half-brother, Swan Bay. Roseland Ring, a winner as a three-year-old a Winton 12 months ago. returned to winning form at Wyndham at his last start in a dashing performance to beat Bolas after the latter appeared to be tn for a runaway win. Roseland Ring is a brother to Wee Frances, a good winner in Melbourne. Their dam. Mighty Frances, was a capable race mare by Colossal from Francis Cole, which was also the dam of Frances Grattan, a winner as both a pacer and a trotter and dam of the winners Lola Grattan and Roseland Song.
