CHILLER-TYPE BEEF COMPETITION.—This Aberdeen Angus two-and-a-half-year-old steer from the Craigmore Farming Company (Timaru) was placed first in the on-hoof judging in the Canterbury chiller-type beef competition at the Addington saleyards yesterday. The Timaru company’s entries filled the first three places. The cattle will be judged on the hooks next week.
