SUPPLY OF EGGS

(MX Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 28. An attempt permanently to stabilise the supply of eggs within the egg industry was given today as the main reason why egg prices had been raised. An Egg Marketing Board member was asked why the price should be raised when the board estimated that it would have a surplus of 8.325,000 dozen eggs by the end of June. He said it was vital to keep a steady flow from year to year. “Oir main aim is to keep a steady, easy flow of eggs to supply consumers, but we must also look after the producers,’’ he said.
