Money Given For Strike (NX. Press Assoctsttos) AUCKLAND, Match 20. ? The secretary of the Northern branch of theNorth Hand Cheaacal Fertiliser Workers’ Association, Mr H. G. Chiitham, said tonstfit that he would ask (foe Federation of Labour to use money given by unions to help fertiliser workers in their four-weeks’ stoppage in May of last year lor assistance for the Marsden Point oil refinery men. He said a resolution instructing him to do this badbeen passed at a meeting of Morranevtete members of the branch. Mr Chithem said it was believed more than £lOOO eUH remained of the money. Branch members had taken up collectiions to help the” men at Whangarei and this money would be sent directly to the officers of unions involved, be said.
