The Comet airliner service will be operated by 8.0.A.C. by way of Sydney, Darwin, Singapore, Calcutta, Karachi, Beirut and Dusseldorf. The Director of Postal Services, Mr L. T. Heath, said today those wishing to have specially-stamped covers in the mail on the inaugural flight * should forward their stamped addressed envelopes under cover to the Chief Postmaster at Auckland. They should reach him uot later than April 4 and should be clearly marked to show they were to be included in the special mail. Normal overseas airmail rates would apply. Mr Heath said the Post Office was not making provision for the speciallystamped envelopes to be returned to New Zealand addresses.
