GIFT FOR AGED
Four Housing Units (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 27. An anonymous donor will give the Dunedin City Council £3465 to pay for the cost of four aged people’s single housing units in Rutherford street. This is the council’s proportion of the cost of the units, now under construction. Announcing acceptance of the donor's “wonderful” offer, the chairman of the housing committee, Cr. N. D. Anderson, said today the committee had decided to step up the pro-gramme for the year by a further 10 single units. Thus, by the end of the 1963-64 financial year, 34 single unite should be under construction.
