Lancaster Park Seats
Sir,—Having spent a day at Lancaster Park watching the test cricket from the new stand, I can vouch that the seats in this stand are the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in. I understand plans are being prepared for a new No. 3 stand and am writing in the hope that the engineers in charge of the job can be persuaded to consult a designer for the seats. —Yours, etc, COMFORT, March 22, 1963. [The secretary of the Victoria Park Board (Mr K. N. McGillivray) said: "The seats in No. 2 stand are of similar design to those installed previously. The attention of ou- consulting engineer will be drawn to the correspondent’s suggestion.”]
