DISEASED LAMBS
Facial Eczema In Taranaki
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 25. Facial eczema has occurred in Taranaki for the flrot time this year. A line of lambs with Hvers affected by the disease was discovered ta the Wattara freezing works today. The disease has also been detected in animals from a farm at Wbangaehu, a few miles south of Wanganui. The chairman of the North Taranaki foetal eczema committee, Mr J H. Macdonald, said the affected livers at Waiters were in a line of lambs from an Urenud farm. About 1* lambs were in the consignment of which about 40 per cent, were affected. A spokesmen for the Agriculture Department at Wanganui said be knew of Mver damage in lambs from a Whengaehu form. They were discovered last week. A warning from the Department at Wenganui recently stated that spore counts taken between Whangrehu and Baton, including FocdeM, were too high for comfort.
