TOLERANCE FOR NEGRO
Mississippi Student IX2. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 24. The first Negro student at Mississippi University, Mr James Meredith, was received with more tolerance by students of the university when he registered for bis second term this month, said a former student of the university, Miss N. A Wall, who arrived in Auckland today. Miss Wall, who is a graduate of the university, will study New Zealand literature at Otago University on a grant from the United States Educational Foundation.
She was accompanied by Miss M. H- Leder, a graduate of the University of Illinois. who will study health education at the Otago University School of Physical education.
