Dr. G. Jobbems. an emeritus profeoaor ot the University of Canterbury where he founded and was head ot the geography departtMot for 18 years, was married on Saturday to Mias V. F. Towneend, who waa headmistress ot the Avooaide Girls' High School for 13 years. Both are now retired from teaching, but Dr. Jobbers is still chairman of the Avonside Girls’ High School board ot governors. They were married by the Ven. S. E Woods at St Mary’s BlLfm v? •
