NEW L.W.R. MOVE
Plant To Make Bri-Nylon Yarn
Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd., Christchurch, with John Heathcoat and Company, Ltd., of England, are forming a company to be called Dominion Yarns and Fabrics, Ltd., to produce in New Zealand Helanca bri-nylon stretch yarn tor hosiery, knitwear, swimwear and underwear.
Estimated annual savings in overseas funds when the plant is in full production will be £65,000.
Products of the new plant will be available to all knitters and users of stretch yarns throughout the country.
The new factory will be equipped with the most modern and up-to-date equipment available, and will be located in Christchurch. Production will start later this year.
Capital will be £50,000 Shares will be held equally by Lane, Walker, Rudkin and John Heathcoat and Company. Initial capacity of the plant will be 209,0001 b of processed yarn of average count a year.
