ROYAL TOUR SUCCESS
Queen Thanks Dominion (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 20 The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) has received a message from the Queen expressing her sincere thanks to the Government and people of New Zealand for their hospitality during the Royal visit Mr Holyoake said the Queen and the Duke had found their visit deeply interesting and enjoyable. “I have been pleased to assure Her Majesty that her visit has left warm memories throughout New Zealand.” Mr Holyoake said. The Queen was grateful for the commemorative presents she had received. It had been her wish that presents took this form and it had given her pleasure to know they would be of benefit to future generations of New Zealanders. “The Queen thanked all those, who had been responsible for the planning and the programme arrangements," Mr Holyoake said. “She extended her appreciation to the armed services, the police and to the many other bodies, official and voluntary, associated with the tour.” Mr Holyoake added the Government's praise and thanks to all who had assisted. The arrangements made in each centre were outstanding. The spirit and enthusiasm of the people who gathered to greet ths Royal guests had ensured the success of the visit, he said.
