NX Visit Ends (NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 20. Carrying 48 former American marine#, their wives and families—B3 in all —a chartered DC7 will leave Wellington airport at 11.30 pm. tomorrow on the first stage of it® homeward journey to Oakland, California.
The marines, who have been making a “pilgrimage of memories’’ round New Zealand, will be entertained by Wellington Returned Services* Association members tomorrow night and shown films of their stay in Wellington. They will take the films with them for screening in the United States. Among those saying farewell will be the Minister of Defence (Mr Eyre), the American Ambassador, Mr A. B. Akers, the Mayor (Mr F. J. Kitts) and members of the New Zealand committee that arranged the visit.
