YUILE IN N.Z. TEAM
(NX. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 20. The Palmerston North all-rounder, B. W. Yuille,
has been named in the 12 players for the New Zealand team for the first cricket test against England at Auckland, starting on Saturday.
Yuille, who was the star player in the Central Districts v. New Zealand XI match at Pukekura Park. New Plymouth, this week, replaces the Marlborough fast bowler, G. A. Bart-
lett, who withdrew from the original 12 playerg named because of illhealth. The announcement was made by the chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council (Mr J. L. Kerr) at New Plymouth tonight. Mr Kerr said the twelfth man for the test will probably not be named until the day of the match. After play was washed out on the third day of the game against Central Districts today, arrangements were made for the New Zealand
team to fly to Auckland Uter in the afternoon. There were, however, Insufficient seats left on the plane for Yuille to go, too, and he and Mr Kerr will travel north tomorrow morning. The team will practice at Auckland in the afternoon. Indications are that the Central Districts player, M. J. Shrimpton, will be the unlucky man when the New Zealand team is announced. He did not have the happiest of matches this week, although he fielded quite well.
