FREEZING WORKS CLERKS’ AWARD
Increases of £l5 to £3O a year, for males and £ll to £26 a year for females hsve been granted in a new award issued by the Arbitration Court for freezing and related industries clerical officers. The award covers all districts except Westland and takes effect as from January 13 and continue* in force until August 31, 1964. An unqualified preference claim is included. Maximum overtime rates have been altered, with time and a half M 13s 6d an hour for males and 9s 5d an hour for females. Maximum double time rates are 18s an hour for males and 12s 6d ae hour for females.
