(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Fsb. ». The Government had applied to the World Bank for loan finance for certain projects and. it successful, expected to receive part of such a loan this year, said ths Minister of Finance (Mr Lake).

This was his written answer to a question by Mr W. W. Freer (Labour, Mount Albert) at the brief session of Parliament last week opened by the Queen. Mr Lake said no approach had been made to the International Monetary Fund for loans.
