‘Keep Weapons In Hands 9 (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) DJAKARTA, Feb. 10. President Soekarno today ordered his returning guerrilla troops to keep their weapons in their hands. Speaking in a ceremony welcoming guerrilla fighters who were dropped in West New Guinea last year, President Soekarno said; “You have carried out your duty successfully but other duties are still not finished. Your fatherland still calls you to defend the Republic. “Our struggle is not over yet. The republic is still being undermined by threats while the enemy is besieging us. Therefore, keep on the alert and I order you to keep your weapons in your hands.’ ’ The Indonesian Navy today announced that a Malayan fishing vessel was arrested for operating in Indonesian waters. The announcement said that the vessel, marked S.L.F. type 76, capable of hauling two tons of. fish was being towed to Belawan Harbour in Medan, North Sumatra, and the crew taken under arrest. The incident happened near the islands of Djamur Pandang, and this indicated that the vessel was far within Indonesian waters without permit, the announcement said. It added that any Malayan fishing boats caught in Indonesian waters in future would be burnt on the spot.
