Eliminated On First Vote

(HJS. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Feb. 15. The North Island Rugby selector, Mr S. R. Ambrose (Wanganui), was defeated at the council meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union today. He wan eliminated on the first vote. Mr D. L. Christian (Horowhenua), the former Auckland representative and coach and All Block prop In South Africa in 1849. was elected to complete the North Island trio with the two national selectors.
