Sterling and other exchange held by the Reserve Bank rose £l.lm to £34.9m this week. Trading banks’ deposits with the Reserve Bank rose £osm while trading banks’ borrowing fell £o.9m. Net Government indebtedness rose £l.6m. Main items from the latest week’s return, with the previous week's figures, are as follows:
N.Z. Reserves Rise Again (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 15. Net ovenseas assets of the New Zealand banking system on February 6, 1968, were £ 65.2 m, compared with £64.1m on January 30, 1963, and £ 50.3 m on February 7, 1962. These figures were announced today by the Reserve Bank.
