NO ROOM FOR STIPULATE
Ship Fully Booked
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Feb. 15.
No arrangements have been made for the racehorse Stipulate to go by ship to Australia, said Mr D. M. Floyd, assistant to the manager of the bloodstock division of Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., this afternoon.
Mr Floyd denied a statement by Mr F. P. Walsh, president of the Federation of Labour, that a berth had been found for the horse in a Union Steam Ship Company vessel. "The only ship that might have been available is the Kurow.” Mr Floyd said, “but accommodation for horses in this ship is already booked out."
“The F.O.L. will not give an assurance to the Wanganella’s agents that they will allow the horse to be loaded in the Wanganella. so, as far as I can see, it does not seem as though Stipulate will be going.” Stipulate’s trainer, Mr C. M. Jillings, said tonight:- “I have no idea whether Stipulate will be going to Australia or not.”
