On Roads
LONDON, Feb. 15
Floods and heavy snow brought new winter chans to Britain’* road* during the night. Thawing snow in southwestern England caused rivers to overflow, flooding roads in Somerset and Devon to depths of 3ft.
In northern England, heavy snow caused drifts on the roads and brought traffic to a standstill in many area*. .Drifts were up to Bft deep in Yorkshire, the Royal Automobile Club said. Hertfordshire and Durham were among the other counties most affected by drift*. Snowflalls were also reported from Nototnghemstaire, Leicestershire, Derby-*South-«*t England also had heavy folia during the night.
Two Theumdth Performance. London’* Drury Lane Theatre tonight stages its two thousandth performance of the musical hit, “My Fair Lady," the “Daily Mail” reported.—(London, February 15.)
