Mr J. J. Nolan, formerly of the Railways Department’s traffic superintendent's office at Wellington, has been appointed rail-road ferry controller at Wellington, succeeding Mr G. S. Muir, who has taken up a position as district traffic manager at Auckland (P.A.)
Mr R. Woolerton. at Hamilton. has been appointed to the board of the State Advances Corporation —(P.A.) Sir George Currie, former vice-chancellor of the University of New Zealand, who now lives in Canberra, has been appointed chairman of a commission to inquire into the introduction of university education in Papua and New Guinea.—(P.A)
