NX RACING CONFERENCE ASSISTANT STIPENDARY STEWARD Applications doting Bth March, 1963, will ba received by the undersigned for the position of Assistant Stipendiary Steward In the Canterbury Metropolitan Racing District. The vacancy hat been created through the promotion of an Assistant to the permanent panel of stipendiary stewards. Applicants will be persons in other full-time employment, as this position calls for their services on race days only. A basic requirement is soma knowledge of racing. The successful applicant will servo a probationary period of 6 months during which time ho will receive £5 for each day's racing attended. If of the end of the period his appointment io confirmed, the remuneration will Increase to £lO par day's racing, plus travelling expenses.
