CHURCHES’ YOUTH COMMITTEE
Two-Day Meeting At
Lincoln
About 60 young people from all parts of New Zeawill will attend the annual meeting at Lincoln of the Youth Committee of the National Council of Churches. The programme includes talks on voluntary service, both in New Zealand and overseas. Some of the young people will speak on Voluntary work camps in which they took part in the New Hebrides, the Solomon Islands, and New Zealand. Speakers include Miss E. Higgs, national secretary of the Y.W.C.A., Mr J. Foster, who has spent two years in Indonesia under a student riduate scheme, the Rev. B. England, who conducted a work camp in the Burwood area recently, Mr J. Hayman, who has travelled in Asia, and Mr J. Hudson, training officer for boy scouts in New Zealand.
Sir Percy Wyn-Harria, overseas representative of the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme, will apeak today.
