LICENSING BODY
New Member Elected
A new member of the Canterbury District Licensing Committee is Mr H. J. Mortlock, of the Akaroa County Council. He replaces Mr R. F. Lodhhead (Paparua county). Mr Mortlock, with two sitting members, Mr M. E. Jenkins (Malvern) and Mr T. F. Carter (Springs) has been elected to the committee. Mr W. E. Olds, a sitting member, has been reappointed by the Christchurch City Council.
The chairman of the committee is a stipendiary magistrate, -whose appointment is gazetted. Mr E. A. Lee, S.M., has been chairman far the last year.
