DEATH FROM INJURIES
Collision Near New Plymouth
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 13; A man died in an ambulance taking him to New Plymouth Hospital after a spectacular head-on collision on the State highway five miles from the city at 8 o’clock tonight. Three other persons were admitted to the hospital. The dead man was Graeme George Panckhurst, aged 38, motor mechanic, of 14 Rawhiti street. New Plymouth.
Elwy Anderson, of 39 Fenton street, Stratford, received a severe leg injury. His condition was reported as being reasonably satisfactory late tonight. Mrs Margaret Amelia Panckhurst and Bernard Kyle Anderson suffered abrasions and shock. Their condition was satisfactory.
