More Licences Issued

INVERCARGILL, Feb. 13. At least 16, possibly as many as 18, oyster boats will operate in Foveaux Strait this oyster season, which begins on Friday The Marine Department has advised at least four parties that oyster-dredging licences will be available to them when they have suitable boats ready. One man in Wellington has applied for a licence which he may or may not take up. Another man. who already has two boats at work, is considering licensing a third. And the price of oysters to the public will not be increased.
