Former N.Z. Soldiers (1* A.-Jtmter—Copvrtpht) KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 12. A number of former New Zealand soldier* who served in Malay* during the emergency have applied to return to Malaya aa civilian* A New Zealand High Ccrnmiwuon spokesman, Mr J. Carter, said they had applied to the New Zealand Council for Volunteer Service Abroad. "The men are looking forward to renewing acquaintance with their many Malay, Chinese and Indian friends and at the same time make a positive contribution towards the development of the country," Mr Carter said. He said the soldiers were now back in civilian life and working in various professions, and have listed among their qualifications “a working knowledge of Malayan. *
