Legal Action Possible
Royds Bros, and Kirk (Chch.), Ltd, "may have to take legal proceedings” against G.uß. The managing director of Royds Bros. (Mr F. A. L. Cookson) says this in a circular to his firm’s customers.
A £06,025 take-over bid for Royds Bros, by G.U.S. was announced before Christmas, but at a meeting of shareholders of Royds Bros, on February 1 it was reported that the deal had not gone through. In his circular, Mr Cookson says his firm is still in business. “Over the last few months there have been negotiations with G.U.S, as a result of which we may have to take legal proceedings against them,” he says.
