TALKING TO THE QUEEN
“Frozen Lips Out” (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, February 13. Buckingham Palace yesterday agreed that people spoken to by the Queen should “keep talking,” the “Daily Express” reported. The palace confirmed that “frozen lips” were out. A spokesman said: “This is absolutely right. Of course, people must talk.” But, on the other hand, people were not encouraged to rush up to the Queen and say: “I’m John Smith and I want to tell you about my life.”
"Once you are introduced, the Queen is pretty happy if you talk to her. The same applies with Prince Philip . . ~” said the palace spokesman.
