S.M. Urges Heavier Penalties (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ Feb. 12. There were far too many assaults on service station attendants, and those responsible must be dealt with without leniency, said Mr D. G. Sinclair, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North.

Michael George Marvin, aged 24, a workman, who assaulted the proprietor of a se.vice station, Denis Wright, with a wrench on February 1, was gaoled for 15 months.
