FLAGS FOR CITY VISIT

More Helpers Wanted Helpers are still wanted by the Sumner Lifeboat Institution to make Royal tour flags. With only a few days before the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrive in the citv. there are still about 4000 flags to be assembled. The flags are being sold to swell the fund to purchase a new. lifeboat, and the project has been supported by the Christchurch Lions Club and many voluntary helpers, including Sumner residents and elderly persons from homes, who have put the flags on the sticks. The flags sold so far have covered the cost of production. “But we still have more to make and time is running out," said Mr A. Brunt, chairman of the institution s finance committee, yesterday. Any offers of help could be made to him at Durax Products. Ltd., he said.
