FLOWERS STILL NEEDED

Decorations For City Hydrangeas, red dahlias and white shasta daisies are among the flowers which will still be welcomed by toe City Council for floral decorations during the Royal visit to Christchurch. There had been a good response to the appeal for floral decorations, Mr H. G. Gilpin, toe director of reserves, said yesterday, but more would be welcomed, particularly the three varieties mentioned. Flowers would be collected by the department if necessary, he said, but they could be left at toe municipal nursery in Linwood avenue up to tomorrow.

Candidate.—Mr Colin Aberdeen has selected as the Social Credit candidate for Dunedin Central for the next General Election.—(P.A.)
