Conference Next Month
Representatives of cities and towns throughout the South Island will meet in Christchurch on March 30 for the annual conference of the South Island Publicity Association. The meeting will be held in the old Provincial Council Chambers. A circular calling for remits to the conference has been sent out It is expected that the development of tourist resorts will again be the main topic for discussion, with emphasis on the proposal for sealing the road to Mount Cook.
Licence Renewed.—The reception rooms licence for premises situated at 143 Gtandovey road would be renewed, the Waansnri County Council decided at a meeting last evening.
