Softball Tour Delayed A Year?
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Jan. 31. A New Zealand women’s softball team may now not tour Australia until January, 1965, a year later than planned. The Australian Women’s Softball Association has advised the New Zealand body that the proposed world series could not take place until 1965 and suggested New Zealand combine participation in the world series with an Australian tour. It is understood the national executive of the New Zealand association has recommended acceptance of the Australian proposal and the council will consider the matter on its next meeting on February 16.
