Oreti Not In Final

DUNEDIN, January 31. Although he earned no points in the qaulifying heats. Sun Chief has been included in the field for the final of the Dunedin Festival Cup on Saturday. The committee placed Oreti in the consolation race after his trainer, C. V. May, had said that the horse was a doubtful starter. The club wanted to retain eight totalisator numbers in the final, and decided to put last year’s winner. Sun Chief, in the field fn place of Oreti.

Great Credit Disqualified

(From Our Own Reporter) DUNEDIN. January 31. After an inquiry into the running of the Roslyn Handicap, Great Credit, which finished second, was disqualified. Calumite was promoted to second. Moose to third and Dark Louise to fourth. F. E. Newfield was found guilty of careless driving causing interference ~ His horseman’s licence was suspended until March 9.
