A man whose family connexions with New Zealand Wanganui, hgs been anointed to an Important bunneas post ta Zurich?Mr Williams, who bu lived ta tbe Uhited Kingdom since 1952, has been made European director of Cyanamid tatemafomal Corporation with effort from early next year. Tm son of Dr. and Mrs U. G. Williams, of Wangsnul, cated at Here worth Preparatory School, Wanganui Collegiate School, and Otago University. He wu married tn 19M to Patricia Alma Maurer, of Melbourne, and later that year Mr and Mrs Williams went to the United States, where, ta 1940, Mr Williams Joined the firm with which he is still associated as a medical reprsaentative based on Los Angeles. As an assistant regional manager he subsequently travelled extenaively in Canada. He joined toe British company in 1952 u divisional manager of Its Lederle Laboratortes, supplying . the first broad spectrum antibiotics to Britaln. Be was made a director In the same year and managing director in 1966. Mr and Mrs Williams have two daughters, Anne, aged in California. Their schooltag has been ta California, Australia, Canada, and England. Anne is an air stewardera flying with 8.0.A.C. between London, New York. Jamaica, and Bemuda. Pets Lyn this year won goto medals for figure and free rigrttag at ' take Pladd Olympic Arena. Under toe tuition ct Gustav Lussi, one of the world's leading instructors, she hu hopes one day for international success. An interesting sidelight to wu born ta this city.
