Be Formulated
The proposed formulation of a code of recommended practice tor the recording ot induetral accidents was a welcome move and would meet the need for a better break-down of accident statistics, said the secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association (Mr R. T. Alston) yesterday. The New Zealand Standards Institute Council, in response to s feequest from the National Safety Association of New ZMdMML had decided that s-Bfefomittee should be set up to formulate a code for at industrial aoHents. land Manufacturers* Federation would be represented on foe committee. The introduction of a rode for recording industrial accidents could lead to the speeding-up at statistical information which would be invaluable in accident prevention. Mr Alston said.
