Two Die In Strip Chib

Two men died in a gun battle in the heart of London’s Soho underworld district tonight Women screamed as “Tony the Greek” otaggered from bis dub, the GriM. with head wounds, and coUapeed into the road, the “Daily Mirror” r *A > Sr l part attendant called police and ambulance. A second wounded man was later carried from the dub. Both were taken to Middlesex Hospital but were dead on arrival.
Furiy minutes after the shooting nine young women from the dub were driven away in a police van. Detectives questioned people in the ctato, the •‘Daily Mirror" reported. The Frees Association said the two deed men were identified as Alfred Melvin. <ed about 60. and Anthony MeHa, about », both of Tottenham, north London. The "Daily Express” ssid a fuaUade of shota had rung out in the striptease club just as the gtris were changing for their act Melvin had teen manager of the dub and Mrita the owner.
