SEISMIC DRILLING FOR OIL indications began this week at Seafield, near Ashburton. Tending this rig, in the middle of a ploughed field on the property of Mr P. N. Martin, are the driller, Mr A. Krijzer, of New Plymouth (right), and the driver, Mr H. S. Furze, of Kaponga. Four rigs are operating in the area.
