HOAD TOP OF POLL
Sports Writers 9 Placing (N.Z. Preu Aun.—Copvright) BOSTON. January 28. L. Hoad has been named the top tennis player of UMS in a poll by 85 sports editors throughout the United States United Press International reported today. The Australian star wound up with a winning 74 per cent. Two other Australians, R. Laver and K. Rosewall, finished second and third with percentages of 72 and 55 respectively. P. Segura with 48 per cent, was fourth and A. Olmedo war fifth with 28 per cent.
