CRICKET Reid, Heads Plunket Shield Averages
The Wellington captain. J. R. Reid, heeded the batting and bowling average* in the Plunket Shield season. G. T. Dowling, the Canterbury captain, with 422 runs, had the highest aggregata. The leading wicket-taker was the Wellington fast bowler, R. W. Blair, with 27 wickets. B. D. Morrison the other Wellington opening bowler, took 25 wickets.
