Child Drowned In Lake
(N.Z Press Association) ROTORUA. January 27. A girl was drowned tn Lake Ohakusi on the Waikato river today She failed to come to the surface after she and a companion stepped over a sheer ledge into deep water The girl was Marilyn joy Thomas, aged 10, a daughter of Mr and Mrs P H. Thomas, of Atiamurt. Marilyn and her companion, Ruby Whittle, wen playing together near the Ibkb shore The body wa_ recovered this evening.
