OPERA GETS EXCHANGE
Australia And N.Z. Traffic (N.Z. Prtst Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 21. The exchange of the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust’s seta and costumes for “The Magic Flute” and the New Zealand Opera Company’s “La Boheme” this year udll be the first steps in what is hoped may become a regular traffic between the two countries in opera productions and singers.
Of the talent contracted to present Mozart's “The Magic Flute” and Puccini’s “La Boheme,” the company's chairman Mr F. Turnovsky, said today he could promise audiences “a feast for the eye as well as for the ear."
